After weeks of speculations, Korean Basketball League side Suwon KT Sonicboom formally announced the arrival of Ateneo de Manila University guard Dave Ildefonso Sunday.
The team, on its social media page, said the 22-year-old cager will join them in the ongoing 2022-2023 season.
The son of Philippine Basketball Association legend Danny Ildefonso ended his career with the Blue Eagles with a University Athletic Association of the Philippines Season 85 championship and part of the Mythical Team selection.
Suwon is currently in seventh spot in the KBL with a 13-16 win-loss record.
Ildefonso is set to play against Gilas Pilipinas teammates SJ Belangel (Daegon KOGAS Pegasus), RJ Abbarientos (Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus) and Rhenz Abando (Anyang KGC) after signing a contract where he will play one-and-a-half season in South Korea.
He is also set to team up with former PBA import Lester Prosper in hopes of making a deep run in the league.
