Justine Baltazar will be bringing his acts to South Korea following a forgettable season in Japan.

Reports have it that the 25-year-old former De La Salle University forward formally reached an agreement to see action for the Samsung Seoul Thunders in the 2022-2023 season of the Korean Basketball League.

The Korean deal is a breath of fresh air for Baltazar.

Five days before Christmas, the 6-foot-9 Baltazar was let go by his Japanese club — Hiroshima Dragonflies — following a forgettable stint.

With the Dragonflies, Baltazar served as a benchwarmer, logging only 13 minutes in eight games.

Now, he has a chance to redeem himself with the Thunders, who currently ranked last among 10 teams in the KBL with a 10-18 win-loss record.

Last season, the Samsung-backed Thunders finished with a 9-45 win-loss record in 54 matches.

Actually, the Thunders' original choice as Asian import was Filipino-American Christian David, but he got released last month after playing just one game.

Before flying to Seoul, Baltazar will join quality players like former National Basketball Association standout Nick Young, Renaldo Balkman, Ange Kouame, and Will Gozum in powering Strong Group Philippines in the Dubai Invitational Tournament from 27 January to 5 February.
