BOCAUE, Bulacan — The Bocaue Municipal Police Station arrested an illegal manufacturer of firecrackers in Barangay Binang 1st here on 20 December.
According to the Bocaue MPS, 64-year-old firecracker maker Edgardo Mendoza was caught red-handed by the authorities making firecrackers without the necessary permit.
The authorities recovered 700 pieces of kwitis, 500 pieces of Jumbo gold fountain, 28 pcs of unfinished sputnik silver fountain, a two layer pagoda and assorted firecracker wrappers with a total estimated market value of P15,700.
Appropriate charges for violations of Sec. 4, 5, 7 and 8 of RA 7183 are being readied against the suspect for court referral.
