A member of the notorious Utto Brothers gun-for-hire group along with two others was arrested for violation of PD 1602 and Sec. 11 of RA 9165 or illegal possession of illegal drugs along Alley of 29J 10th Ave. Extension, Barangay North Signal, Taguig City at dawn yesterday.
P/Brig. Gen. Kirby John Brion Kraft, director of the Southern Police District, identified the suspects as Vincent Junio y Cenco @MheckzKahalan, 41 years old, Maritess Bilan y Balan, 43 years old and a 17-year old child in conflict with the law.
They were arrested after they were caught playing a dice game with bet money involved.
Seized from their possession were bet money amounting to P600 in different denominations, six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing more or less 2.7 grams with a street value of P18,360, a pair of dice, one navy green pouch and one black pouch.
When the identification of the suspects was verified it was revealed that Vincent Junio @Mheckz Kahalan is a member of the Utto Brothers gun-for-hire group responsible for the series of shooting incidents and selling of illegal drugs in Taguig and nearby cities and municipalities including the province of Rizal.
Complaints for violation of PD 1602 and Sec. 11 of RA 9165 are being prepared against the two suspects while the teener will be turned over to Bahay Pag-asa.
Meanwhile, three persons were arrested by the personnel of SDEU, Muntinlupa City Police for violation of Section 5 and 11 Art. II of RA 9165 through buy-bust operations at dawn yesterday at the PNR Site Purok 7, Barangay Poblacion, Muntinlupa City.
Kraft identified the suspects as Mark Anthony Bunyi y Vega, 43 years old, Bryan Almofre y Ormas, 26 years old and Miko Olores y Paraiso, 23 years old.
Seized and recovered pieces of evidence were four heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu approximately weighing five grams amounting to P34,000 and one genuine P500 bill utilized as buy-bust money.
Suspects are presently detained at the Custodial Facility of Muntinlupa City Police.
