Three Chinese nationals were arrested Monday night just hours after a woman complained to the police that she was detained and molested for seven days by the suspects.
Complainant "Tina," not her real name, told the police that she was held in a unit at the Hongtai building along Alabang-Zapote Road in Barangay Almanza Uno, Las Piñas City.
The Chinese nationals were arrested close to midnight by operatives of the District Special Operations Unit where the woman filed her complaint.
Said arrested suspects were identified as Shou Caifu, male, 25 years old; Chen Dongsheng, male, 26; and Wang Long Lon, male, also 26.
The Hongtai building hosts Chinese nationals who are mostly working for Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators.
Shou, Chen and Wang were brought to the Southern Police District DSOU office. Charges of serious illegal detention and acts of lasciviousness were slapped against them.
The police did not reveal the relationship, if any, of the complainant with the suspects, or whether she's a co-worker. Her real name, however, was not Chinese-sounding.
