The vaccines administered in coordination with the Department of Health were BCG, or bacille Calmette-Guerin, against primary complex tuberculosis; DPT against Diptheria, pertussis and tetanus; and anti-measles.

The local government of the City of Manila yesterday announced that it has vaccinated 27,500 babies against common illnesses during the implementation of the "Vax-Baby-Vax" inoculation program last month.
Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna said that the Manila Health Department under Dr. Poks Pangan surpassed its target number of vaccinated babies under the catch-up inoculation project by 128.9 percent.
The vaccines administered in coordination with the Department of Health were BCG, or bacille Calmette-Guerin, against primary complex tuberculosis; DPT against Diptheria, pertussis and tetanus; and anti-measles.
Under the program, babies who had not been inoculated during the pandemic were visited by MHD personnel and with the consent of their parents provided the vaccines.
A doctor, Lacuna said many babies in the cities were not inoculated during the height of the pandemic because of the mobility restrictions and fear of people they'd contract the virus going out of their homes.
