Five male suspects were arrested in simultaneous police operations in Pasig City early Thursday morning.
Elements of the San Joaquin Police sub-station were conducting Oplan Galugad at Ismar Dike, Barangay Kalawaan at about 1:30 a.m. when they chanced upon two male persons dealing illegal drugs with each other prompting them to interfere.
This resulted in the arrest of the suspect identified as alias Louie, 34, a resident of Barangay Ibayo Tipas, Taguig City for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. His cohort managed to escape.
Confiscated from the suspect was one piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing an undetermined quantity of suspected shabu weighing more or less 0.60 grams with a standard drug price of P4,080.
On the other hand, operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a drug buy-bust operation at about 2:15 a.m. along Talisay Street, Barangay Nagpayong, Pinagbuhatan which resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old suspect identified as alias Maui, a resident of this barangay, also for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Confiscated from the suspect were 10 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing undetermined quantity of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with a total estimated weight of more or less 5.0 grams with standard drug price of P34,000 and recovery of buy-bust money consisting of two pieces genuine one-hundred-peso bill.
Moreover, at about 4:10 a.m. at the Rodriguez Compound, Barangay Rosario, Pasig City, elements of Rosario Police sub-station conducted Oplan Galugad in relation to
anti-illegal gambling and anti-illegal drugs operation which resulted in the arrest of three suspects caught in the act playing cara y cruz.
The suspects were identified as alias Weck-Weck, 32, construction worker, a resident of Barangay Rosario, Pasig City for violations with illegal gambling and illegal drugs; alias Buhay, 35, for violations with illegal gambling and illegal drugs; and alias Allan, 52, for illegal gambling.
