The Commission on Appointments approves the ad interim appointment of Jaime Bautista as secretary of the Department of Transportation on Wednesday, 14 December.
During the deliberation for his confirmation, Bautista assured CA members that the DOTr will complete the payment of fuel subsidies to around 600,000 tricycle drivers by the middle of January next year.
Likewise, the DoTr chief said the department is will study the possibility of putting up an intermodal transport system that will link airports to trains and other public transportation to make transportation more convenient for the public.
His confirmation happened a day after the CA's Committee on Transportation endorsed his ad interim appointment for plenary approval.
