Taguig Prosecutors Office is recommending a criminal case against members of the Philippine Drug and Enforcement Agency (PDEA) who allegedly figured in the P8.8-million drug bust on 6 December.
The transaction allegedly took place at the PDEA Southern Police District Office along A. Bonifacio St. Brgy Upper Bicutan, Taguig City.
The suspects arrested were identified as Enrique Lucero Gumba, Anthony Vic Albastro Alcaraz, Mark Warren Mallo Sural and Jaireh Liaguno Azores.
A complaint was later filed against them while the pieces of evidence collected were positively identified as methamphetamine hydrochloride by the forensic laboratory.
The Office of the City Prosecutors has recommended the filing of Sections 5 and 11 of RA 6975, and Section 28 (a) of RA 10591 agaisnt the suspects.
The NCRPO is interested to know the whole story behind the "flagrant selling of illegal drugs by members of an organization that is supposed to be in the frontlines and working with the police on the campaign against illegal drugs."
