Jovit Baldivino, the first winner of singing competition 'Pilipinas Got Talent' in 2010, died on 9 December, a regional newspaper confirmed. He was 29.
A report from Totoong Balita Southern Tagalog said Baldivino died after several days in ICU at Jesus of Nazareth Hospital in Batangas City.
The singer was said to have suffered a stroke on 4 December and underwent surgery.
Baldivino's wife Camille Ann Miguel on 9 December posted on Facebook a photo captioned, "Asawa ko" with crying emojis.
Three days earlier she asked netizens not to post inaccurate news about Baldivino, adding what she needed are prayers.
