A basketball camp that will be jointly staged by the Malone Foundation for Kids and Utaz Jazz and Gilas Pilipinas gunner Jordan Clarkson could be on the horizon for 2023.

Malone Foundation for Kids representative Robert Ariotti told Daily Tribune at the SMX Convention Center at SM Aura in Taguig City that setting up a basketball camp with Clarkson and Karl Malone, also the premier Jazz player in the 1990s, can be worked out.

The Utah-based foundation is here for a joint project with the Water Flow Foundation for the groundbreaking of The Malone Community Center today in Burgos, Zambales.

"If he's (Malone) going to be over here, why not hold a basketball camp as well as the other charity work that we are doing? Have some kids that are underprivileged to be taught some basketball and have fun," Ariotti said at the event where Malone's son, KJ Malone was also in attendance.

"I would love to sit down and talk with Clarkson. It would be great and I think if he sees what happens here today, I'm sure we're going to have some talks with him," Ariotti said.

Clarkson is no stranger to conducting basketball clinics as he was involved in one last August in Taguig during his stint with Gilas Pilipinas during the FIBA World Cup Asian qualifiers.

Ariotti said the foundation is ready to hear pitches from other organizations as well, including from the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.

"It's something where we just need to be in contact with the right people, we talk and we put something together when we bring the family next year over. It's something that we need to plan and we're happy to talk to whoever we need to," Ariotti added.
