CLARK FREEPORT — The Clark Develop Corporation and companies located inside this Freeport recently provided assistance to some 33 schools from Metro Clark Areas via the agency's Brigada Eskwela 2022.
According to CDC president and CEO Atty. Agnes Devanadera, the 33 schools are from the provinces of Pampanga and Tarlac which received construction and paint materials, including supplies such as printers, inks, projectors, boxes of facemasks, gallons of alcohol and fire extinguishers from the benefactors.
The program also provided armchairs made from recovered woods in Clark via the agency's Environmental Permits Division headed by Engr. Rogelio Magat as part of the donations.
CDC director Atty. Bryan Matthew C. Nepomuceno, who represented Devanadera, welcomed the participants and beneficiaries during the distribution.
"First, I would like to acknowledge our benefactors. Thank you so much for your generosity and your love for education to support these deserving schools," Nepomuceno said. "To the beneficiaries,
congratulations to all of you and I'm happy to say that at CDC, there is a need to help the education sector, particularly those in the public schools' sector," he added.
Recipients such as Bamban, Tarlac Public Schools District Supervisor Rosalinda C. Bartolome expressed their gratitude to the agency and the companies during her acceptance speech, citing that what they are doing is a noble and kind gesture.
Among the locators who handed their donations are the Bank of the Philippine Islands, Bolder Philippines Ltd., Inc., Evertrust Business Solutions, Inc., Fontana Hot Spring Leisure Parks, Global Square Plaza Philippine Corp., LSG Industrial and Sumidenso Automotive Technologies Asia Corp.
Brigada Eskwela is a joint Corporate Social Responsibility project of CDC's External Affairs Division headed by CDC assistant vice president for External Affairs Rommel C. Narciso, in partnership with Clark locators which has been held annually since 2012.
Under the CSR and Placement Division headed by its manager Herbert Angeles, it aims to mobilize parents, alumni, non-government organizations, teachers, students, and other individuals to volunteer their time and skills to do repairs, maintenance work, and clean-up of public elementary and secondary schools.
