JJASGH also landed third place in the PHA Handwashing Best Practices Tiktok Video: People’s Choice Award

The local government of Manila announced that one of the six city-run hospitals was given recognition by the Philippine Hospital Association for its tireless efforts in bringing the hospital and its services to greater heights.
Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna said that the Justice Abad Santos General Hospital in District 3 was recognized by the PHA, as she also commended JJASGH director Dr. Merle Sacdalan-Faustino and the staff for unselfishly giving their all to serve the poorest of the poor in providing free medical and hospital services.
Lacuna, who is also a doctor, expressed pride that all of the city's six district hospitals manage to gain awards for their achievements, amid her continued call for them to continue innovating for the purpose of better delivery of free health services to Manilans.
For her part, Faustino shared the award with all her co-workers and attributed the success of their hospital to the team's joint efforts, saying she could not have accomplished so many things without the help of all those behind the day-to-day operations of the JJASGH.
The JJASGH emerged as overall winner in Level 1 Hospital; Best in Hand Hygiene; Best in Environmental Cleaning and Decontamination and Best Infection Prevention Control Nurse, Level 1 Hospital.
It also landed third place in the PHA Handwashing Best Practices Tiktok Video: People's Choice Award.
Just recently, Faustino was also hailed as the regional winner of the "Dangal Ng Bayan" Awards by the Civil Service Commission for the quality of free medical services being offered in the JJASGH, which is one of six district hospitals being run by the city government of Manila.
Faustino said she and her team vowed to continue thinking of ways to further improve the services that the JJASGH gives to the residents of Manila and even those living outside of Manila who come for help, as she enjoined the hospital staff to continue their dedication and hard work they provide for the patients.
