DSWD’s FoI program recognized
Data privacy and matters of national security, however, are taken into consideration when looking at e-FOI requests.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development was once again recognized for its contribution to the overall progress and development of the Freedom of Information or FoI program.
During the 2022 FoI Awards, the DSWD was feted as one of the top-performing agencies with 1,000 and above requests for action, with 90 percent completed transactions in the e-FoI portal.
The DSWD has consistently made the FoI top ranks in 2021 and 2020 after garnering the FoI Champion's Award in 2019.
Other agencies recognized were the Department of Health, the Philippine Statistics Authority, National Telecommunications Commission, National Bureau of Investigation, Department of Labor and Employment, the Employees' Compensation Commission, and the Philippine National Police.
The FoI Program initiated by the Duterte administration aims for transparency in government actions through the full disclosure of information sought through e-FoI requests.
