Police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives seized about 15 grams of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in a Quezon City drug den Friday afternoon.

Five persons were arrested in the operation in a house along Baesa Road, the police said.

Arrested were Rolando Garcia Padran, Ivy Lorence Velarde, Ronaldo Mendigorin de Leon, Roland Malabrigo Partible and Clinton Burilla Diaz.

The team swooped on the drug den after a poseur-buyer bought shabu for P500. Weeks of surveillance were conducted on the target area.

Those arrested are facing charges of violating Sections 5 and 11 (pushing and possession) of Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The five were detained at the PDEA custodial center.
