Kim Chiu sees herself in the contestants of Dream Maker, ABS-CBN's new reality show.
The 32-year-old Filipino-Chinese celebrity is a product of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition: Season 1, a Kapamilya show that aired in 2006.
"Part of it also helped in how we see the dream chasers (contestants) dahil galing kami sa reality show na hindi singing and dancing ang focus," Chiu said.
ABS-CBN partnered with Kamp Korea and MLD Entertainment to launch Dream Maker, a talent search for the next hottest pop group.
Chiu will co-host with fellow PBB alum Ryan Bang.
"We also have a dream to be seen on TV, to fulfill the needs of our family. We see that in the dream chasers joining the show," she said.
Dream Maker will have 62 young male dream chasers who will be trained to sing, dance, and rap. They will be trimmed down to seven hopefuls who will undergo further training in South Korea.
They will be mentored by Angeline Quinto, Now United's Bailey May, Darren Espanto, MBLAQ's Thunder, Momoland and Lapillus choreographer Bae Wan-hee, Produce 101 dance mentor Bae Yoon-jun, composer Seo Won-jin, Bullseye!, and Brown Eyed Girls' Jea.
Dream Maker airs every Saturday and Sunday, starting 19 November on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and Kapamilya Online Live.
