Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte will be the country's caretaker while President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is in Cambodia for five days.
Malacañang on Wednesday afternoon confirmed this to reporters as the President departed for Phnom Penh, Cambodia to attend the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits from 10 to 13 November.
In the neighboring country, Marcos will also visit the Filipino community and hold bilateral meetings with some of his counterparts in ASEAN and ASEAN's dialogue partners.
Marcos said he will utilize the platform to "forge new partnerships and to strengthen those that have already existed for a very long time."
