A notorious mobile phone snatcher was arrested by operatives from the Manila Police District-District Special Operation Unit following complaints filed by a barangay chairman in Paco, Manila.
The suspect — identified as Alvin Conechado and a resident of Malate, Manila — was nabbed by authorities along Quirino Avenue.
Reports disclosed that authorities were alerted by Barangay 797 Zone 87 chairman Leopoldo Diaz after a snatching incident was reported to the barangay hall by a certain Amie Villaflores, who said that the suspect entered their house and took the cellphone while being charged.
A follow-up operation was conducted which led to the suspect's arrest, who will be facing charges of Robbery under Article 293 of the Revised Penal Code.
