Navotas to reinstate truck ban
Published on

The city government of Navotas will reimplement its truck ban starting 14 November.

Vehicles with eight or more wheels, such as cargo and freight trucks, or those with gross weight of 4,500 kilograms including tractor trailers and container haulers, are prohibited from traversing M. Naval St. from Agora to Bagumbayan-Bangkulasi Bridge, and from C-4 Road to Brgy. Tangos North; Gov. Pascual St.; C4 Road; and H. Lopez Boulevard.

The truck ban will be enforced Monday to Saturday except holidays, from 6:00 am to 10:00 am and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. During periods not covered by the restriction, trucks are allowed to use only the designated truck lanes

A total truck ban will also be imposed along Lapu-lapu Avenue and at San Rafael Village, with the exemption of vehicles owned by businesses within the aforementioned areas.

Meanwhile, C3 Road to Caloocan-Navotas boundary as well as C-3 and R-10 Roads to Manila boundary are identified as special truck lanes and are open to all passing vehicles as long as they stay in their designated lanes.

Trucks with perishable goods may apply for a Special Pass from the City Traffic and Parking Management Office to be able to use the non-truck lanes and prevent delays in deliveries.

Anyone who violates the ban will be meted with P5,000 fine and other penalties prescribed in the Navotas City Traffic Management Code.
