Philippine National Police chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. disclosed that the PNP-Explosive Ordinance Disposal and Canine Group was deployed together with Search and Rescue Police Service Dogs in Maguindanao.

The PNP chief said that the 12-man search and retrieval teams are ordered to extend police assistance especially to the members of Teduray ethnic community in Maguindanao who have been affected by the tropical storm "Paeng" last weekend.
