Sam Milby wants to stick it out with his home studio ABS-CBN — despite the network's run-ins with government.
In an interview with pep.ph, the Filipino-American actor-singer said, "Hangga't kaya, I would not want to leave… because (ABS-CBN) changed my life. As long as I can stay with them, as long as they need me, I will stay."
Milby, 38, was a commercial model before joining Pinoy Big Brother: Season 1 — after which the Kapamilya network signed him in 2006 as an actor and recording artist.
He appeared in dozens of TV series including Dyosa; 100 Days to Heaven; and Mars Ravelo's Dyesebel, as well as in the movies Babe, I Love You; Four Sisters and a Wedding; and The Gifted.
Milby is currently in the cast of the series A Family Affair.
Following the congressional rejection of ABS-CBN's broadcast franchise renewal, a number of its contract artists have moved to other networks, while others are said to be following suit.
Enrique Gil has been rumored to be making arrangements to sign up with GMA, with showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin calling out the actor for his "unreasonable demands."
Gil's last project with ABS-CBN was the series Make It with You which ended in May 2020 due to the pandemic.
On the other hand, Jake Cuenca ended speculations when he tweeted, "16 years Kapamilya strong."
He's in the cast of the Kapamilya series Iron Heart with Maja Salvador, Richard Gutierrez, and Sue Ramirez.
