DMW said that the migrants are bound for Israel as caregivers, but have been stranded in domestic airports in Ozamis, Misamis Occidental; General Santos; Tacloban, Leyte; Iloilo and Cotabato.
DMW Secretary Susan Ople tapped the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration and the Philippine Overseas Employment Agency to assist the stranded migrants.
The POEA helped in rebooking the flights of the OFWs who are deployed under its government-to-government job placement program.
Meanwhile, OWWA provided rebooking assistance, food, hotel accommodations and airport transportation.
