The Department of Education expressed its appreciation to local government units, partner agencies from the national government, non-government organizations, and its stakeholders for supporting and respecting its stand against the unnecessary cancellation of classes and the use of our schools as billeting areas for events that are unrelated to the curriculum.
"Your support affords uninterrupted class sessions for our learners, and helps our teachers avoid unnecessary make-up classes, which pose as an additional burden to their teaching load," the DepEd said in a statement.
"The Department of Education aims to not only bring learners back to school, but also institute measures to maximize learning recovery," it added.
The DepEd also said it remains steadfast in its pursuit to provide accessible and quality basic education for all.
