Businesses dedicated to producing cosmetics and skincare have been taking beauty beyond skin-deep.
Beauty is relevant even in the most serious cases such as physical and mental health.
Avon, for one, recently partnered with the Philippine Cancer Society for its #NormalForMe movement to raise awareness for breast cancer just in time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Part of the festivities was the Pink It Up! Zumba dance party with Live Love Part last 22 October at SM by the Bay. Those who registered to join paid a P50 fee that will be donated to PCS.
Apart from monetary donations, Avon is also offering fundraising products: Self-Check Watch, Avon Empower
Non-Wire Mastectomy Bra, Mariposa Gift Set, and Avon Empower Bra Prosthesis.
The brand has been advocating breast cancer awareness for 30 years already since it first launched in the United Kingdom. It has donated over $947 million to breast cancer causes, educated 180 million people about the health concern, and funded over 16 million women's breast health screening.

Meanwhile, Nail•A•Holics partnered with HopelinePH for National Pampering Day last 27 October.
Patrons were able to enjoy a free manicure from 10 select branches by donating at least P100 to HopelinePH.
Nail•A•Holics' and HopelinePH's partnership flourished because the nail care brand saw the need to address mental health after everything that transpired in the last three years.
"We (can't) deny the unfortunate fact that we all bred some form of mental health concern, and there is a serious need to address this," said Abby Borja, head of marketing for the R2 Group of Exclusive Brands, in a statement.
While donating to the organization through Nail•A•Holics ended yesterday, love donations can be made through Natasha Goulbourn Foundation's accounts.
For those in need, HopelinePH can be reached through these numbers: (02)88044673, 09175584673, and 0918873 4673.
