PILAR, Bataan — The Department of Agriculture in Central Luzon doled out a Greenhouse with Hydrophonics to the Gasili Vegetable Planters Association in Barangay Wakas North here.
The grant is under the High Value Crops Development Program part of the Fiscal Year 2022 regular program, with a total allotted cost of P1,244,794.30, including machineries, farm inputs and the facility.
It also included a shallow tube well, a multi-culitvator, 25 pieces of plastic crates, and 20 pieces of seedling trays.
Regional technical director for Operations and Extension Dr. Eduardo Lapuz Jr. said that they are excited to turn over assistance to help farmers keep up with the new technology of using greenhouse with hydroponics.
He added that the Greenhouse is one of the modern technologies that was introduced by the HVCDP that can produce vegetables all year round.
