Work is a good distraction from being loveless, says Jose Sarasola.
The actor-chef is keeping busy with his cooking show after splitting up with Japanese actor Maria Ozawa.
"Right now I'm focused on my career at GMA which has been very good," he said.
The couple parted ways earlier this year, citing the difficulty of maintaining a long-distance relationship.
However, Sarasola said they remain good friends.
"The best take-away after a breakup is that we can still maintain a friendship. It wasn't a messy breakup. We didn't unfollow each other on social media. It was just really the pandemic that kept us apart.
There's no bad blood," he said at the presser for his cooking show Eat Well, Live Well, Stay Well.
Sarasola added that Ozawa is in Japan, so they don't see each other at all.
He's on the fourth season of his show.
"It's something I love doing, I'm a chef. I also love acting, but my forte and passion is cooking, so having a cooking show is any chef's dream," he said.
The show is a partnership between GMA and Ajinomoto Philippines Corp.
Season 4 features dishes spiced up with Ajinomoto condiments.
