Two men from the province of Isabela fell in a buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of the regional drug enforcement unit of the National Capital Region Police Office Monday morning in Manila.
Arrested were Paul Garcia and Joe Nalog after nine packages of dried marijuana leaves worth P1 million were seized from them at a bus terminal along Lacson Avenue.
The two waited for several hours before transacting with the poseur-buyer, but the patience of the police operatives paid off as they caught Garcia and Nalog in possession of the weed.
Garcia and Nalog are allegedly relatives of a mayor in Isabela. They dropped the name of the official thinking they'd be set free by the police.
