CAMP OLIVAS, CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Joint anti-illegal drug operations by the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency over the weekend resulted into the arrest of at least 11 individuals.
Police Regional Office 3 regional director P/Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen disclosed that the operations were conducted on 21 and 22 October.
In Angeles City, Pampanga, joint operatives of the ACDEU, CIU, Police Station 3 ACPO, SOU3 PDEG, and RDEU3 arrested two individuals during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pandan.
The suspects were identified as Angelique Marcos alias Lic — regarded as a High-Value Individual — and Ariel Obinario alias Onyok. Seized from the duo were six pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 143 grams amounting to P972,400.
Meanwhile, four High-Value drug individuals identified as Ramil Gonzales, Mark Anthony Salde, Franklin Adrineda and Robert Mallari, were nabbed by elements of Cabanatuan CPS, PPDEU/PIU NEPPO, PDEA RO3 NE, PDEG SOU3, and RIU3-PIT Nueva Ecija in a sting operation in Barangay Mayapyap Sur, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
Seized from their possession were one Caliber 38 revolver with live ammunition, and six pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 12.71 grams with street value of P86,428.
In Zambales, joint operatives of Subic MPS, PDEA Zambales, and PDEU Zambales PPO dismantled a drug den located at Barangay Calapacuan, Subic Town and arrested John Vincent Arizo, Roel Arman Habal, Michael Buela, Marvin Talosig and Kevin Matawaran.
Confiscated from the suspects were six pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 15.2 grams amounting to P103, 360.
Appropriate charges for violation of RA 9165 Sec. 5, 11, 12, and 14 and RA 10591 or Illegal possession of firearm and ammunition are being readied against the suspects for filing in court.
