F2 Logistics notched its first win after dominating United Auctioneers-Army, 25-17, 25-21, 25-16, in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City on Tuesday.
The Cargo Movers, who played nearly at full strength with starting libero Dawn Macandili back after missing their first two games, arrested a two-game slide to barge into the win column while sending the Lady Troopers to a 0-3 hole.
However, F2 Logistics head coach Benson Bocboc was far from satisfied with the win, citing lapses that the squad has to address moving forward.
"A win is a win. But we were still moving a bit tight based on what we saw in the game. We still have a lot of lapses to address," Bocboc said.
"But we'll take the win to boost the team's confidence. So aside from that, we'll have to work harder for our next games," Bocboc added as he looks forward to their next game against PLDT on Tuesday.
Frustrated by their string of losses including a sorry four set defeat at the hands of Choco Mucho in her first game last week, American import Lindsay Stalzer vented her ire on Army, dropping 24 points on an efficient 23-of-49 attacking clip for F2 Logistics.
The 38-year-old reinforcement, who had to skip F2 Logistics' first game due to health and safety protocols, added 10 excellent receptions and had plenty of help from the locals.
The Cargo Movers built a 17-7 lead in the third set after wriggling out of a tightly-contested second frame where F2 Logistics lost open spiker Kalei Mau to cramps early in the set.
Army countered with a 6-1 rally to trim its 10-20 deficit to five before Stalzer stopped the run followed by an Elaine Kasilag hit and a closing back-to-back salvo of missiles from Dzi Gervacio.
