The Department of Energy on Tuesday disclosed that the energy supply in Northern Luzon which was hit by Typhoon "Neneng" is now back to normal.

In its advisory, the DoE said that as of 11 a.m. of 18 October, the power generation plants in affected areas are now running under normal operation, while the energy supply produced by small power utility group plants in Cagayan Province operated by National Power Corporation is also restored.

"As of 2 p.m. on 17 October 2022, all Plants/Transmission Lines/Substations are in normal operating condition following the energization of Balatubat DPP in Cagayan Province after the completion of clearing and inspection of the distribution line. All transmission facilities in the affected areas are under normal operation," said the DoE advisory.

Typhoon "Neneng" has affected a total of eleven electric cooperatives from 11 provinces and three Regions were placed under different Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals, the DoE advisory stated.

On the other hand, the National Electrification Administration Power Monitoring Report said that as of 11 a.m. on 18 October 2022, two electric cooperatives have partial power interruption with ongoing restorations.
