Social Welfare Secretary Erwin Tulfo welcomed First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos during her visit to the Elsie Gaches Village in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
The center houses abandoned and abused children being hosted by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Tulfo first brought Mrs. Marcos to an art exhibit featuring hand crafts and paintings made by the children of EGV, which the First Lady immediately bought.
Tulfo also gave Mrs. Marcos a peek at one of the EGV cottages where abused and abandoned women and children are staying.
Some selected EGV children danced for the First Lady.
Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon, Benguet Lone District Representative Eric Yap, DSWD officials and EGV staff and residents were present during the First Lady's visit.
