Authorities seized more than P200,000 worth of shabu from four listed drug personalities, including a caregiver, after being caught in separate buy-bust operations in Navotas City, Saturday night.
According to Navotas City police chief Col. Dexter Ollaging, around 8:45 in the evening when operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by PLt. Luis Rufo Jr., conducted a the buy bust operation along Everlasting St., Brgy. San Roque, where an undercover police was able to score P500 worth of shabu from a certain Khim Rosita, 26, listed drug pusher.
Upon accepting the marked money from the police poseur buyer in exchange for a plastic sachet of shabu, the operatives immediately nabbed Rosita, together with Eduardo Del Mundo, 51, listed drug user.
About 21 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P142,800 and buy bust money were recovered from the suspects.
Prior to this, at around 1:30 in the morning when the other SDEU team also arrested in a buy bust operation along Dalagang Bukid St., Brgy. NBBS a caregiver Nena Balita, 53, widower, and Eunica Vargas, 19, both listed drug pushers, who are both residents of Tondo Manila, after selling P500 worth of shabu to a police officer who served as a poseur-buyer.
About 10 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P68,000 and marked money were confiscated from the two.
The four are now facing charges of violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
