The local government of Las Piñas City was recently recognized by the Department of Health-Metro Manila Center for Health Development for its high quality of health and medical services.
It was also feted for its outstanding financial compliance in efficiently utilizing DoH's funding and its prompt and correct liquidation.

Aside from the two awards received by the local government unit, a check worth P150,000 was also awarded and according to the LGU, it will be used as additional funding on health services and projects for the Las Piñeros.
Vice-Mayor April Aguilar expressed her gratitude to the recognition and stressed that it will serve as an inspiration for the city government to improve or do better the health services for the residents.
She added that improving health services is part of Mayor Imelda Aguilar's "Tuloy ang Tapat at Progresibong Serbisyo."
