Philippine National Police chief Rodolfo Azurin Jr. assigned public information office chief Brig. Gen. Roderick Alba as new regional director of Police Regional Office in Central Visayas.
Alba will be headed to the PRO7 while Col. Redrico Maranan, deputy district director for Operations of Quezon City Police District will be his replacement.
The new PRO7 chief — a member of the Philippine National Police Academy class of 1992 — will replace Brig. Gen. Roque Eduardo Vega, reached the mandatory retirement age of 56 on Thursday.
Prior to his new post, Alba is the deputy director for the administration of the PNP Information Technology Management Service and served as the officer-in-charge of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office and provincial director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office.
