A construction worker believed to be a member of the notorious Saragoza Drug Group was apprehended by authorities in Navotas City on Wednesday morning.
Navotas City Police chief Col. Dexter Ollaging identified the suspect as Jason Javier, who was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Pedro Tulud Dabu of the Regional Trial Court Branch 286.
The operation stemmed from information received by operatives of the Station Intelligence Section that the suspect was allegedly keeping an unlicensed firearm.
The suspect was arrested for violation of RA 10591.
Police seized a .38 caliber revolver inside the suspect's house, with four bullets and a black belt bag.
He is now facing charges of violation of RA 10591 or Comprehensive Laws of Firearms and Ammunitions.
