The city government of Navotas welcomed 132 new technical and vocational graduates from Navotas Vocational Training and Assessment Institute.
Of this, 13 completed Automotive Servicing NC I; 11, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II; 11, Hairdressing NC II; 19, Dressmaking NC II; and 25, Basic Korean Language and Culture.
Moreover, 39 trainees finished Bread and Pastry Production NC II and 14 graduated from Food and Beverage Services NC II.
Mayor John Rey Tiangco congratulated the graduates on finishing their training courses and encouraged them to not only continue learning new skills, but also polish existing ones.
"Change is inevitable. We have to constantly improve our competencies to stay ahead of the game. The broader our knowledge, the more opportunities open up for us to advance in our chosen careers. The courses we offer in our training centers can equip you with the skills to help you succeed in a competitive job market," Tiangco said.
The NavoTAas Institute offers various technical and vocational courses under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.
It has four training centers open to both Navoteño and non-Navoteño trainees. Residents may study at the institute for free while non-residents may enroll and take assessment exams for a fee, depending on the course they will take.
