More than 200 micro-business owners received P10,000.00 from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), as the first batch of Pangkabuhayan para sa Pagbangon sa Ginhawa (PPG) Program beneficiaries in Caloocan City.
With the assistance of the City Economic and Investment Promotion Office (CEIPO), the said program was held at the Bulwagang Katipunan, Caloocan City Hall.
To recall, the PPG program started in 2020, in which the beneficiaries were determined to have micro-businesses that were either affected by fire or by the Covid-19 pandemic who have not yet received any assistance of a similar nature from other government agencies.
"This is just the first batch of those who will be given assistance from the DTI's PPG Program. They have been greatly affected by the pandemic or victims of fire and our government wants to help them recover their small businesses," Caloocan City Mayor Along Malapitan said.
