BAGUIO CITY — The Baguio City Police is now looking for the man who was said to have dumped a baby in a garbage site in Loakan Access Road in Loakan Proper here.
Reports disclosed that on Monday afternoon, a passerby found the lifeless male baby estimated to be six to eight months old and a possible victim of an abortion.
The baby was brought first to the Loakan Police Station where he was blessed by a priest and the police personnel.
Afterwards, he was brought to the San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish Church for appropriate rites before he was buried at the Baguio Public Cemetery.
Loakan Police Station Chief P/Lt. Benedicto Dontogan called on the perpetrators and the mother of the child to be human enough to have conscience on what they have done.
He vowed that they will go after them as abortion is punishable by law. He also appealed to people who know the identities of those responsible for the demise of the baby to provide them details.
