"Karding" has weakened as a typhoon and is now over the coastal waters of Northern Zambales, according to the latest storm update from PAGASA-DOST on 26 September.
The weather bureau's bulletin issued at 5 am said:
"The center of the eye was estimated, based on all available data, over the coastal waters of Santa Cruz, Zambales (15.7 °N, 119.5 °E ).
"It is moving west northwestward at 30 km/h.
"Maximum sustained winds of 140 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 170 km/h."
Its forecast position:
Sep 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM – 325 km west of Dagupan City, Pangasinan
Sep 27, 2022 at 2:00 AM – 625 km west of Dagupan City, Pangasinan (outside PAR)
Sep 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM – 845 km West of Central Luzon (outside PAR)
The rain forecast, "until noon today, is heavy to intense, with at times torrential rains, over Zambales, Bataan, and Tarlac. Moderate to heavy, with at times intense rains, over the western portion of Pangasinan, Pampanga, Cavite, and Lubang Islands,
"Light to moderate, with at times heavy rains, over Metro Manila, the rest of Pangasinan, La Union, Benguet, Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, and the western portions of Batangas and mainland Occidental Mindoro."
