Authorities reported the arrest of a barangay volunteer believed to be responsible for the death of a construction worker recently.

Initial reports disclosed that the suspect — identified as Roberto Mercado — shot dead the victim identified as Junevie Montajes of Barangay Muzon in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

A follow-up operation has also been conducted to recover the firearm used by the suspect.

The suspect will be brought to Bulacan PFU for paraffin test examination while criminal charges are being prepared against the suspect.
