ZAMBOANGA CITY — Police and military authorities in Maguing, Lanao del Sur uprooted about 10,000 plants of fully grown marijuana plants with an estimated market value of P10 million.
According to Police Regional Office for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao director P/Brig Gen. John Gano Guyguyon, the seizure of the plants came after a raid on a farm where marijuana were allegedly grown in Barangay Batobato, Maguing, Lanao del Sur on Saturday.
The raiding team uproot and burned 50,000 hills of fully-grown marijuana plants planted on one inside hectare lot in the village.
According to Guyguyon, the Maguing Municipal Police Station is conducting an in-depth investigation to unmask the identity of the cultivators and owner of the land lot for the filing of appropriate charges.
