Cignal added another weapon in its arsenal by tapping the services of American Tai Bierria for the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference set to begin on 8 October at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
The HD Spikers announced on their Facebook page the recruitment of the outside hitter, who will complement the local wing duo of captain Rachel Anne Daquis and Ces Molina.
Bierria played for the Memphis Tigers in the US NCAA Division I from 2016 to 2018 before suiting up for the New Mexico Lobos.
The 6-foot-1 power hitter had a couple of international stints under her belt.
She saw action in Finland for Polkky Kuusamo from 2020 to 2021 and just finished her season with the Clamart Volley-Ball in France.
The HD Spikers hope to ride the momentum of their third place finish in the Open Conference as they aim for a higher podium spot in the first staging of the import-laden conference in the professional level.
