Murder cases recorded the highest decrease in Metro Manila crimes from January to August this year compared to the same period last year.
Compared to the total index crime of the National Capital Region Police Office, that was a four percent decrease from 5,202 cases for the first 8 months of last year to 4,984 this year, or a drop of 218 cases.
The Crime Solution Efficiency improved from 68 percent to 71 percent for January 2022 — August 2022. Crime Clearance Efficiency of NCRPO has a batting average of 91 percent compared to 86 percent last year.
Citing the data of the NCRPO from January — August 2021 up to January — August of 2022, murder cases registered the highest decrease in crimes with 125 followed by motorcycle carnapping with 88, carnapping of motor vehicles at 82 and robbery cases with 57 cases in the current year.
Rape cases also dropped from 767 to 763 cases.
