Lloyd Jefferson Go birdied three of the last five holes to return a four-under-par 66 and barge into the Top 10 standings in the OB Golf Invitational at the Jababeka Golf and Country Club in Jakarta, Indonesia Wednesday.
The 27-year-old Filipino, coming off two runner-up finishes in the Asian Development Tour, reached the halfway mark on 4-under, eight shots behind Thai leader Suteepat Prateeptienchai who fired a 64.
Go, who opened with a 70 in the first round, birdied 5 and 7 to reach the turn on 2-under. He made his first and only bogey on 13 before finishing in style with birdies on 14, 17 and 18.
He was the lone Filipino who made the cut.
Rupert Zaragosa carded a 72, his round marred by a quadruple bogey on 17. He finished 36 holes on 5-over, two shots outside the projected cut.
James Ryan Lam wound up in 6-over after a roller-coaster 76.
Ira Alido was 7-over following a 72 while Eric Gallardo was 11-over after a 74.
Fidel Concepcion was still out on the course on 9-over through 33 holes.
