'To the North,' an international film starring Filipino actor Soliman Cruz, has won the Premio Bisato D'Oro 2022 for Best Film at the Venice International Film Festival in Italy.
Helmed by Romanian filmmaker Mihai Mincan, 'To the North' is the story of a religious Filipino seafarer who discovers a stowaway in a transatlantic ship. Two other Filipino actors, Bart Guingona and Emmanuel Sto. Domingo, are in the cast.
