Six women who were gossiping while playing Bingo were arrested by the police in Navotas City, Wednesday morning.

Facing charges of violation of RA 9287 or Illegal Numbers Games (BINGO) in relation to S.A.F.E NCRPO and OTBT Operation, the suspects were identified as Nancy Luces, 54; Joanna Marie Enaje, 33; Arlinda Pascual, 54; Yolanda Cruz, 47; Marjorie dela Cruz, 21; and Chiclet Estrella, 37, all residents of Tambak 1, Tanza 2.

It was around 8:00 am, when personnel of Navotas City Police Sub-Station I were conducting one time big time operation against illegal gambling under direct supervision PCpt. Arnel Perez in the said area when they chanced upon the suspects while in the middle of miggling while playing Bingo, one even shouted "Bingo" which got the attention of the police.

Authorities immediately arrested the six and recovered 2 pieces of 100 peso bills; 2 pcs 50 peso bills; and 6 pcs 20 peso bills amounting to P420.00; and 1 set of Bingo paraphernalia.

The six were brought to Navotas City Hospital for medical verification and later turned over to the station together with the recovered evidence.
