Local police in Bicol region is intensifying its efforts to curb criminality in the region following the arrest of three alleged rape suspects in separate operations conducted by police in Camarines Sur.
Operatives from the Police Regional Office 5 arrested three most wanted persons facing rape cases in Calabanga, Camarines Sur on 4 September 2022 in line with the agency's relentless drive against criminalities.
The arrested suspects were identified as Arnel Butial, tagged as number 6 most wanted in Calabanga; Antonio Alejo who is tagged as number 3 most wanted and Ryan Legarde, ranked as the seventh most wanted in the province.
The suspects are now under the custody of Calabanga MPS for proper disposition and documentation.
The successful manhunt operation is in line with the peace agenda efforts of PRO-5, which is focused on serving justice to the abused and the victims.
To recall, the public lauded the police with the immediate resolution and subsequent arrest of the suspect in the brutal rape slay case of a graduating honor student in Bacacay, Albay a couple of months ago.
