MPL Season 7 and 8 champion Blacklist International scored a hard-fought victory over Season 9 champion RSG PH to claim the to seed in the regular season on Week 4 Day 3 of MPL Season 10 this Sunday evening.
After winning one game each, Blacklist went to the tiebreaker with a Wanwan, Mathilda, Esmeralda, Pharsa, and Balmond lineup. The series turned out to be a barnburner as anticipated with both teams having moments of their own until Blacklist scored a wipe out 32 minutes into the game to cop the match with a 2-1 score.
"It is the mental fortitude of the team that we have accustomed to that kind (long gameplay) of matches though Wise told me earlier that he was already worried," Blacklist team captain OhMyV33nus said after the match.
It was a pivotal win for Blacklist after they suffered back-to-back defeats last week. Now with a 5-2 standing with 14 points, the M3 Mobile Legends world champion found itself atop the ladder once more followed by ONIC PH at number two.
Earlier today, ECHO bounced back from its defeat yesterday with a 2-1 win over Nexplay EVOS. They also hold a 5-2 standing with 12 points and currently sits at no.4 on the ladder.
