Voluntary members of the Social Security System (SSS), including overseas Filipino workers, can now easily make contribution payments to the state-owned pension fund using their PayMaya account or any credit, debit, and prepaid card as the agency officially launches its partnership with digital financial services leader PayMaya. Now you can skip the lines and easily remit your membership contributions to the Social Security System (SSS) through the official SSS mobile app, using only your mobile number linked to your PayMaya account as well as via any credit, debit, and prepaid card. This convenience was made possible through SSS’s recent accreditation of PayMaya as a payment platform.

If you are self-employed or a voluntary member who wants to make sure that your SSS contributions are up to date, all you need to do is to download the newly launched SSS mobile app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store to easily make contribution payments anytime, anywhere.

Filipinos who do not have a bank account or a credit card can easily sign up for a PayMaya account by downloading and registering in the PayMaya app. Once done, they can also use the Pay with PayMaya option to pay for their contribution payments using the SSS mobile app.

And since the SSS app now accepts all VISA, Mastercard, and JCB credit, debit, and prepaid card payments through the PayMaya Checkout payment gateway, even overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) abroad can ensure that their membership contribution payments are up to date even if they are not physically present in the country.

“We are very glad that we were able to add another accredited collection partner that will ensure fast, convenient, and secure ways of remitting the hard-earned money of our members for their future contingencies and retirement options to the pension fund,” said SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Aurora C. Ignacio.

“The public has been very much aware that we have been exerting all efforts to make SSS transactions hassle-free through our gradual shift to the digital platforms. This is one of our options to eliminate long queues in automated teller services in branches and other accredited partners agencies. In just one tap on your mobile phones, your contribution payments are remitted to the SSS,” she added.

Initially available for payment via the app are contributions from self-employed, voluntary, and OFWs. For the next phase of the partnership, employer’s contributions (regular and household) and salary loan payments will also be made available soon. Card and mobile wallet payments will also be possible at other online channels and physical branch offices of SSS using PayMaya’s unique integrated digital payments platform.

The SSS is part of the growing list of government partners enabled by PayMaya with its universal payment platforms that enable all kinds of enterprises and institutions to accept digital payments through their online, mobile, and branch channels, helping them deliver more efficient public services to every Filipino.

Making SSS payments accessible to every Filipino

To make SSS contribution payments using your PayMaya account or your payment card, simply do the following steps:

Log in to the SSS mobile app using your My.SSS account.

At the homepage, tap on the “Generate PRN” or Payment Reference Number button, fill in all the necessary information for your contribution payment, and verify your PRN request details.

Once the PRN has been generated, click on the Pay button and choose the payment method of your choice:

To Pay with PayMaya: Click the “Pay with PayMaya” button in the payment page. Log in using the mobile number and password associated with your PayMaya account. You will receive a One-Time PIN (OTP) that you need to enter to verify the transaction. Once done, click “Confirm Payment” to finish the transaction.

To Pay using credit, debit, or prepaid cards: In the payment page, enter the card number, cardholder name, and expiry date, as well as the three-digit CVV verification number, in the fields provided. Once done, click the “Confirm Payment” button. If your card requires it, you may be asked to enter a One-Time PIN (OTP) sent to your mobile number to verify the transaction. After verifying, the payment will be confirmed and finalized.

Once payment is successful, the contribution payment will be reflected in the “My Contributions” section of the app.
