Four UK universities are in the top 10 of the QS World University Rankings.

Filipino students are called on to visit the upcoming fair to know more about what UK schools has to offer.

UKEAS Philippines is proud to announce a joint partnership with British Embassy Manila for the upcoming Study World UK Education Fair on 18 January 2020 at Shangri-La Hotel Makati.

The event will provide students with the chance to explore opportunities to complete their post-graduate studies at the top universities in the United Kingdom (UK).

The fair will bring representatives from the leading universities in the UK to Manila. The event will allow students to gain all the necessary information needed to pursue an education in the UK, while giving them access to seminars and keynote speeches.

“Students and universities in the Philippines will be able to see the spectrum of UK education in a series of events that the embassy is organizing in partnership with UKEAS and the British Council. As well as the Study World UK Education Fair, we will also host a UK-Philipine University Partnership Conference and a series of networking events for academic institutions,” Richard Colley, the UK’s director of Trade & Investment, shares. “We believe by establishing UK-Phl partnerships, we will create more opportunities to unlock joint research projects, broadening of curricula and access to new resource materials and exchanges for both students and faculty members.”

Participating universities include Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin; Birmingham City University; Coventry University; University of Sunderland; QA Higher Education which includes Northumbria University London, Solent University, Ulster University London and University of Roehampton; Navitas; INTO–City University; INTO–University of Liverpool; University of Leeds; Hult International Business School–London; Nottingham Trent University and University of South Wales.

“The UK is serious in its commitment to make education accessible and relevant. This also supports Philippine industries and their workforces for the future,” Colley continued. “Study World UK Education Fair will give prospective students, whether undergraduates or professionals seeking to top-up their qualifications, access to special sessions on university applications, essay writing, visa applications and living in the UK. There will also be a helpdesk, to give advice and information on student funding opportunities including self-paid and part or full scholarships.”

University degree qualifications from the UK are among the best and desirable in the world and highly valued by employers globally. UK education programs are delivered in many innovative ways. As well as classroom-based learning, there are opportunities for online, community-based and immersive study. Degree courses can also be studied at a Philippine university but with six to 12 months of the course being completed in the UK.”
